Jean-Paul Addie
Assistant Professor, Georgia State University



Jean-Paul Addie is an Assistant Professor in the Urban Studies Institute at Georgia State University. As a critical urban geography, his work is principally concerned with understanding the production, governance, and experience of regional urbanization. Jean-Paul’s current research focuses on rethinking the urban university in the context of global urbanization – examining how universities are adapting their institutional structures, pedagogies, and spatial strategies in response to the changing dynamics of contemporary urban society in London, New York, Atlanta, Cape Town, and Singapore. His work on university urbanization and urbanism has received funding from the European Commission and the British Council and has been published in international journals including Territory Politics Governance, Regional Studies, CITY, Urban Affairs Review, European Planning Studies, Cities, and Urban Geography.
