Nick Revington
University of Waterloo, PhD Candidate

Nick Revington is an urban geographer and planner whose research is focused on housing issues and the life course. His current research considers the roles of developers, investors, planners, students and others in the formation of Waterloo’s student housing submarket, which is unique in Canada for its volume of private development. Other recent and ongoing research investigates the role of age and generation in urban change, students’ experiences of housing, and the financialization of housing for older adults. He is currently a PhD candidate in Planning at the University of Waterloo, where he holds a SSHRC CGS-Doctoral scholarship.
