Tristan Laing is Toronto based graduate student in Master of Arts in Adult Education and Committee Development at OISE, University of Toronto, studying the history and present of student cooperative governance and participation at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. He is a veteran co-operative leader and current President at Campus Co-operative Student Residences, as well as a current director of North American Students of Cooperation. He is also the founder and current President of the University of Toronto chapter of the student club "Students for Cooperation".

Tristan brings to StudentDwellTO a broad spectrum of historical and present knowledge of the student co-operative housing movement. He contributes by bringing a passion for drawing on historical approaches to inform new solutions to problems of student housing affordability.
