Tristan Laing
Board member, North American Students of Co-operation (NASCO), NASCO Properties, NASCO Development Services; Member, Canada's Emerging Co-operators Committee


Tristan Laing is an activist and scholar in the field of Co-operative democracy. His research focus is the history of student co-operatives, and especially the ways they have influenced and been influenced by wider co-operative and non-profit landscape.  In the past he has served as board member, chair, President, and student manager at Campus Co-op Residence Inc in downtown Toronto, and as Business Development Manager at the Waterloo Co-operative Residence. He currently serves on the boards of North American Students of Co-operation (NASCO), NASCO Properties, and NASCO Development services. He is also a member of "Canada's Emerging Co-operators" committee, a youth-oriented working group of Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada.
