The KHSE “VOLUME 2” Residence is a newly developed precinct for students enrolled in Image Arts, Film, R.T.A, Contemporary Arts, and Journalism. Due to demanding student schedules, the facility will also host commuter residences to be flexible in accommodating various living styles and arrangements. The residence is composed of three distinct volumes; the interplay between forms are significant to the various Art’s programs that the residence appropriates. Due to the nature of Kerr Hall South East, our building seeks to create a stronger identity and sense of place for Church Street and adjacent Gould Street Pedestrian Mall. The dancing masses will create a dialogue between old and new and between one discipline to another; a PLACE where these independent communities can share and interact with one another.
